The serial number is 345, xxx, indicating a c. That makes it a series III Aristocrat. This is a pro model sax. In fact, some say it is exactly the same as the famous Big B model, just without the fancier engraving.

I'm not positive about that, but it does have many of the same features, including gold plated Norton screw in springs, and snap on resonators and they are all there! It does play top to bottom, but it isn't in what I would consider to be proper playing condition. The pads are old, quite possibly original in fact, and quite worn. It will need an overhaul for optimum playing condition. This is an excellent candidate for an overhaul, as it is in very good physical condition. First off, there are no missing parts, and that includes the original snap on resonators. They are ALL there, which is quite rare. The body is straight, and the neck has not been pulled down. There are no significant dents or dings, but there are a few minor pings and nicks. There is a very slight downward bend in the lip of the bell, but that is an easy fix.

It could probably be done a little better. I don't see any other re-soldered joints.

The lacquer is original, and mostly intact. It shows normal wear and scratching. The keys are all moving freely and rebounding properly when released. It will need all new pads, corks, and felts.

The springs are still good though. This horn comes in its original case. The case is in fair condition. It is well worn, both inside and out, but it is solid. There are no accessories included, except for a'shove it' style swab, which doubles as an end plug.

With a proper overhaul, this will be a great horn! Please feel free to message me with any questions!
