I'm offering this all original vintage Gibson "Maestro Vibrola" vibrato unit complete including the original arm retaining screw and teflon washers, as well as the 3 spacer grommets and fastening screws. These suspension mounted vibratos were stock on many 1960's Gibsons like Melody Makers, SGs and other solid bodies up until 1967 when they switched to the flush mounted unit.
If your guitar has 3 holes behind the tailpiece with little circles around them, this is the correct vibrola unit for it- heres how to return your vintage Gibson to its valuable original state and get the cool chorus-like vibrato that is such a huge part of American musical history. These vibratos stay in tune and are very easy to string up- unlike the Bigsby units, which I find to be a real pain. I use these on all my Melody Makers and they are the best! Please see all the pictures for the condition, it has a beautiful vintage patina with some of the velvet strip missing on the underside of the spring part. Also please see my other listings for an original vintage 60s MM compensated tailpiece/bridge w studs, as well as a rare original butterknife vibrato arm and other cool guitar parts. Good luck to all winning this cool and rare historic vintage piece! The item "Vintage 1960's Gibson Maestro Vibrola complete all original- Melody Maker, SG" is in sale since Thursday, August 31, 2017.
