If you bought the above bracket previously, we highly recommend that you add this enclosure to your system, it will blow you away even further! This enclosure will DRAMATICALLY improve the already monstrous bass you can get by using the stand alone Bracket Kit above. This enclosure was designed as a result of many requests from E46 convertible audio enthusiasts!

Installs into existing threaded holes of the car's frame. IMPORTANT:Assembly required with simple Allen key tool or ratchet. Bolt holes will need to be drilled by user with a simple drill and a wood bit. Bolt hole drilling locations will be clearly shown on the instructionw. Bolt holes are excluded to keep costs down.

These boxes are made to order hence the longer processing time. Very low stock is carried.

For ANY SIZE SUBWOOFER UP TO 12 diameter (12 inch). To replace the OEM subwoofer.

Will work with regular or "free-air" subwoofers; works with ALL subwoofers. Fits ALL E46 convertible models including 318 320 323 325 328 330 M3. FULLY REMOVABLE, ON THE FLY. This enclosure has been designed to be fully removable from the trunk in case you need the space, this way you are not stuck with a permanently attached box to your car!

All you need to do is remove the six bolts (three bolts on each side, takes five minutes, marked by RED arrows [use a small allen hex key or ratchet]). The only panel that remains on the car is the one with the BLUE dot which is only 3/4 thick. There is about a one inch (1.0)clearance above and below the box even with the convertible top compartment lowered per photos below. The convertible top compartment can be raised or lowered WITH the box installed, there is NO INTERFERENCE. The trunk floor cover can be slipped in or removed without any issues with the box installed. Instead of using glue and nails like traditional boxes, we over-engineered this box; it uses 3/4 long bolts, lock washers and wood inserts. Change of individual panels as you wish, repair damaged ones or increase/decrease the volume of the box in the future. Glue and nails that loosen over time and don't hold as strongly as bolts with lock washers to begin with. The box to be fully disassembled and stored flat.

One cubic foot including the car frame "tunnel" volume in the rear section. This is the recommended volume for a 10"-12" inch subwoofer sealed box. If you have a smaller subwoofer, just fill the box with sound absorption material to reach your desired volume.

Width: 15.5" inches Depth: 12" inches Height: 9 inches. Sound tests show that there's even more bass resonance and volume if you leave the rear cover off as in the photo below; you can use the box with or without the rear cover, both provide great bass and is a matter of preference. Enclosure only fits convertibles since they have an opening between the rear seat passenger area and the trunk. Perfect for installing a large high powered subwoofer. All hardware is included (bolts and washers to fit into existing threaded holes of the car as well as all hardware for the box structure assembly). Why would you want to install an aftermarket subwoofer? As an example, the Harman. "Premium" sound system in these cars have subwoofers that are rated at 40 Watts (see photo); this is very under-powered and hardly "premium". You'll feel your music! If you like bass with your music, I dont need to explain this to you. Easily and firmly attaches to car frame with only four (4) bolts and nuts.
