Fender Stratocaster 1975 1976 Maple Neck / Vintage USA, fits all 1970s Strats. Vintage 1970s Fender Stratocaster Maple Neck.

Up for sale is this genuine, rare Fender Strat neck, made at the long-shuttered Fender Fullerton plant. It still plays great and has NO issues. Maple D-profile neck with maple fretboard Bullet truss rod adjuster at the headstock 21 Medium frets 25.5 scale length 7.25" neck radius 1 + 5/8" (40.4 mm) wide nut 10 mm diameter tuner holes Neck depth of 20.8 mm at fret 2 and 23.7 mm at fret 12 Neck end width is 2 + 3/16 (55.6 mm) Micro-tilt 3-bolt neck mount system Made in USA quality Condition.

Wear is light on the neck, especially considering its age. It has been very well-maintained. Although there is some light wear on the fretboard, the frets themselves show none of the usual divots you see on used necks. The fretboard has a couple of small nicks in it - I've taken a picture of the most obvious at fret 11 on the bass side. None of those marks can be felt while playing.

The back of the neck has been very lightly sanded, just enough to remove a bit of its top gloss, making for a smooth satin feel. There are no dings on the back of the neck, and no date stamp at the end of the neck. Moving on to the headstock, the original nut is still in great shape.

The headstock has a ding at its back, a few marks here and there, and a bit of typical rash at its top. Its original logo is completely intact. As usual for my listings, the headstock's 1979 serial number has been blurred out to keep scammers away, but is present in its entirety on the headstock. I've dealt with quite a few 1970s Strat necks, and some have problems with their truss rods.

The truss rod is in perfect shape, turning normally either way - not too tightly, and too loosely. I ALWAYS check, and I know what the heck I'm doing!

Summing up: This neck plays GREAT and needs nothing, which is pretty amazing for a part of its age. Installation Notes: This neck is a perfect fit for any 3-bolt Stratocaster body with the micro-tilt feature and a 2 + 3/16 neck pocket width. It will not directly fit most standard 4-bolt modern Fender Stratocaster bodies, but could be made to work if you are handy and feel like butchering a vintage neck. Its original tuners were the chrome Fender/Schaller "F" tuners made in W.

Germany that use 10 mm tuner holes see my other listings! Fender necks are easy to install, but be aware that it may take some expertise to adjust it for your guitar and bridge. If the action is too high (hard to play) or too low (the strings buzz) take it to a pro for a truss rod adjustment and intonation. If you don't know any good luthiers, ask around your local music shop - they'll know one.

The price includes: The Fender Stratocaster neck as pictured, with its original nut. See my other listings for its tuners, neck plate, and more vintage Fender parts.
