The'well known issues' on these great bikes have all been addressed. With- High Pressure Oil feeds to cam's, New Alternator installed to eliminate the'3 wire burn out's on Rectifier Coupler. They Run Hot, so installed Radiator Fan Thermo Override switch - for rider control, positioned near tank for Easy Rider control. Also installed'Evans Waterless Cooling System' = provides'Lifetime Protection'.

V65's have an excellent spec for 38 years age. & have'Upcoming'- Classic Recognition = No M.

Honda's Renown V4 - V90 Chain Driven DOHC. 111.5 hp Liquid Cooled Motor, driving thro Hydraulic Multi-Plate'Slipper Clutch', & Six speed = 5 plus O/D. G/box Plus Shaft drive to diff on swingarm with twin fully adjustable springs. Front forks 41mm air adjustable telescopic, New Oil & Dust Seals-Fresh Oil - TRAC Anti-dive system. Pilot Box has LED Temp & Gear Indicator Displays.

Above are Speedo + Rev- Counter- right in Riders Vision! A great set up for Cruiser Riders. Manual choke lever to four 36 mm Keihin Carbs. Main fuel tank feeds lower reserve which Signals Early, with Ample Reserve.

Fastest Bike of it's time. = 0-60 in 3.9 sec. On a Real'Classic Comfy Cruiser'. The restoration was a major wallet emptying experience, coming from Very Hot Dry Long Term Storage in the states- Mice had eaten into air filter to a nest in air box, Original dated tyres Flat Hard Dry Split, all reservoirs dry, cotton buds in silencers! & so it went on to indicate Mileage is more likely than not GENUINE.

Good News really as the O/A Condition'realistically' agrees with mileage. Original Discs are Virtually Untouched, as per Exhaust Headers with sound & good Chrome, as per the Collector Box just. Slight surface rust No Corrosion, Original Silencers Undamaged & Rocker Covers retain original Unblemished Lacquer.

I had bought new clutch plates, but left originals in (after cleaning) as they miked up negative wear. Inside of engine (after removing casings - carbs - etc) absolutely Perfect Condition. Carbs were actually Very Clean Internally on full strip out clean & Float level re-set, New Boots, - Re-built with S/S Bolts & full gasket kits. Installed New K&N Lifetime Air Filter & Air box Seals.

New Fuel lines right back to pump & Tanks, replaced pump rather than messing with long term dried out unit. All Perished & Rubber items replaced calipers - piston seals - Masters & Slaves. Fully re-built reservoir's & new view glass's. New S/S Braided Hydraulic lines all round, New Pair fully adjustable levers.

New 1" Grips replaced old 7/8". Alloy wheels cleaned up nicely & re-lacquered, new bearings to front, Brand New Tyres. Nly put new alternator in so as not to have to put joints in when eliminating the coupler that cause burn-out issues. So there's been'Nothing in the way of economy' in this re-furb.

Genuine Honda parts used where available, New brake pads. Fresh Lube Oils Coolant etc etc. Bikes not been used during or since re-furb. Had to get bike M. T d to obtain documents for U. So without reg plates, I had bike shop collect MOT & Return it (Yes passed with no advisories) It took DVLA 3 Months.

Up for sale, having cost me well over my asking price. & my labour's for free, bought it to purely to keep me busy in lockdown anyway.

Just a great finishing touch, to a great classic. There's more done than I can recall really, nearly forgot to mention - Electrics! Also Re-Sprayed it shiny Black - But when new saddle came. I changed to a distressed Black as it's more in keeping with the age! Also lined tank internally after cleaning.
