5X more concentrated than competing products. Nearly all pet aquatics companies manufacture a product that removes chlorine. None of those, however, can compare in quality, concentration, or effectiveness to Seachem's flagship product: Prime®. Prime® is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and saltwater.
Prime® removes chlorine, chloramine and detoxifies ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. It is non-acidic and will not impact pH. A further bonus for the reef hobbyist-Prime® will not over-activate skimmers. Prime® is up to 5x more concentrated than competing products and is the second most concentrated dechlorinator on the market only after Seachem's own aquavitro® alphaT. Prime® may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity.
It contains a binder which renders ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate non-toxic, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. It will also detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water.
When transporting or quarantining fish, use Seachem StressGuardT. When adding new fish, use Stability®. Both are ideal for use with Prime®. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 200 L (50 US gallons) of new water.For smaller volumes, please note each cap thread is approximately 1 mL. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times normal dose may be used.
If temperature is > 30 °C (86 °F) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose. The guarantee does not cover faults caused by factors outside the manufacturers control, including failure to follow the user guide and maintenance instructions, normal wear and tear, accidental or wilful misuse of the product, inappropriate storage methods and or inappropriate cleaning, modification or alteration of the product. The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear, for example pump impellers, filter sponges, air pump diaphragms, batteries etc.
The guarantee does not cover glass items, for example aquarium heaters, uv quartz tubes and uv bulbs. Items offered Free are sent out as gifts to the customer and as such will not be covered by a guarantee. The guarantee does not cover maintenance issues including the replacement of wearable parts. Pond pumps and filters will require maintaining and cleaning over their lifetime.
If you live in a hard water area it may be necessary to clean these items with a suitable lime scale remover (we recommend Superfish Pump Clean). Should an item develop a fault within its guarantee period, it may be sent back to Kettering Koi & Ponds Ltd. Repairs or replacement under the guarantee will be carried out as quickly as possible however you should allow up to 30 days for this. Faulty items will be tested and if a claim is made under this guarantee and the defect is not due to faulty materials or manufacture, or the product is found to be in working order, Kettering Koi & Ponds Ltd will return the product to the customer.
