During this era of the NLG, much of their activity was focused on combating Reagan's policies and choices, especially when it came to the conflicts in Central America. The NLG was one of the driving forces denouncing the United States' blatant interference in Central America, especially the backing of the Contras in destabilizing those governments. There is a shirt from the Northeast Regional Conference in Philadelphia in 1987, a shirt from the Bay Area Chapter of the NLG, in San Fransisco, a shirt from the NEB in New York City in 1982, a shirt from a conference in Denver in 1988, a shirt from the St. Louis Convention in 1988, and an anniversary shirt from the convention in Washington D. Each shirt is single stitched, some are on Hanes tags, and the rest are on Screen Stars tags.
The measurements for each shirt are below, but they are all approximately size mediums or larges, or somewhere in between. This is a great deal on a small collection of unusual but very interesting shirts, some of which are especially poignant today. Chest (pit-to-pit): 19.5 in. The shirt are all uniformly faded from normal wash and wear. The lighter shirts have some staining, especially yellowing around the collar, and some slight discoloration at the armpits.
Some minor cracking to graphics on some shirts. See photos for more details. Feel free to reach out with any questions or to request more photos.
